The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – presided over the session held by the Council of Ministers, this afternoon, Tuesday, at the Peace Palace in Jeddah.
At the beginning of the session, the Council of Ministers thanked God Almighty for his success for this country to work with the highest levels of responsibility in confronting the Corona pandemic and mitigating its effects. Which bore positive fruits, in all aspects of life, including lifting the precautionary and preventive measures related to the pandemic, in light of the progress in the national vaccination program and the high rates of immunization and immunity against the virus in society.
After that, the Council reviewed the content of the meetings that took place between the Kingdom and a number of countries, to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation. Which contributes to advancing relations to broader horizons, and supports everything that would bring security, stability and prosperity to the region and the world.
In his statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the session, His Excellency the Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers for Shura Council Affairs and Acting Minister of Information, Dr. Issam bin Saad bin Saeed, stated that the Council considered the Kingdom’s provision of a grant worth (30 million dollars) to support the Humanitarian Trust Fund for Afghanistan, as a continuation of what it had provided. For the brotherly Afghan people, in the recent period, it has built relief bridges, and it has supported over the past decades a number of development projects in Afghanistan at a cost of more than (one billion riyals).
The Council was briefed on the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in its study, as well as the conclusions of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the Council of Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts in the Council of Ministers in this regard.

Authorizing His Royal Highness the Minister of Energy – or his representative – to discuss with the Jordanian side a draft cooperation agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the field of energy, to sign it, and then submit the final signed copy, to complete the regulatory procedures.

Approval of a memorandum of understanding between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Iraq in the field of electrical interconnection.

Authorizing His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs – or his representative – to discuss with the Senegalese side a draft memorandum of understanding regarding political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Senegal, to sign it, and then submit the final signed copy, to complete the regular procedures.
Fourthly:
Approval of a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Post Corporation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the National Authority of Egypt Post in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Fifthly:
Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Public Administration – or his representative – to discuss with the Egyptian side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State Council of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the legal field, to sign it, and then Upload the final signed copy, to complete the statutory procedures.
Sixthly:
Approval of a cooperation agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Greece in the field of maritime transport.
Seventh:
Authorizing His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Authority – or his representative – to discuss with the Egyptian side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Space Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Egyptian Space Agency in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the field of space activities for peaceful purposes, to sign it, and then raise The final signed copy, to complete the statutory procedures.
Eighth:
Approval of the organizational arrangements for the strategic office for the development of the Jazan region, and the organizational arrangements for the strategic office for the development of the Jawf region.
Ninth:
Approval of the organization of the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy.
Tenth:
Approval of the organizational arrangements of the National Incentives Committee concerned with regulating the incentives provided for investment projects.
eleven:
Amending the Civil Retirement Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 41) dated 7/29 1393 AH, and the Social Insurance Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 33) dated 9/3/1421 AH, and the system of exchange of benefits between the civil and military retirement systems and the social insurance system Issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 53) dated 7/23/1424 AH, (related to the employee’s entitlement upon retirement to a reward or a retirement pension), as stated in the resolution.

Approval of the list of fees for licensing the use of frequencies.
thirteen:
Renewing the membership of Dr. Abdulaziz bin Obaid Al Kaabi, and appointing Dr. Saleh bin Ismail Al-Qaisi, and Eng. Mazen bin Ahmed Khayat, to the Board of Directors of the Saudi Geological Survey.
Fourteenth:
Approval of two appointments and promotions for the fifteenth and fourteenth ranks, as follows:
Appointment of Nawaf bin Nayef bin Abdulmohsen Al-Faram to the position of (Emir of the twenty-second regiment) at the fifteenth rank at the Ministry of National Guard.
Appointment of Muhammad bin Faisal bin Muhammad bin Shuraim Al-Marri to the position of (Emir of the Fortieth Regiment) at the fifteenth rank at the Ministry of National Guard.
– Ahmed bin Muhammad bin Muhammad Al-Sudairy is promoted to the position of (Case Research Adviser), rank (14) at the Ministry of Interior.
– Eng. Zuhair bin Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Jarallah is promoted to the position of (consultant architect) at rank (14) at the Ministry of Interior.
– Dr. Muhammad bin Saad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Sari’i is promoted to the position of (religious research advisor) at rank (14) at the General Presidency for Scholarly Research and Ifta.
– Dr. Abdullah bin Hassan bin Ali Al-Asmari is promoted to the position of (religious research advisor) at rank (14) at the General Presidency of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice.
The Council of Ministers was also briefed on a number of general topics on its agenda, including annual reports of the Ministries of Investment, Communications and Information Technology, the Social Development Bank, and the General Authority for Jurisdiction over the Funds of Minors and the Like, and the Council took the necessary measures regarding these issues. .
